The legendary Danish pop duo is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a new album. With a staggering record sale in the multimillion class and indelible classics like Sunshine Reggae, White Horse and Bakerman on the conscience, this year Laid Back can celebrate 40 years of fruitful collaboration. However, the stylish Danish pop duo looks ahead rather than back, which means that on the occasion of their anniversary they have made a brand new album entitled Healing Feeling. The new album is believed to have come to the world in Laid Back’s own studio at Vesterbro in Copenhagen, where the duo, made up of the couple John Guldberg and Tim Stahl, have had their steady base ever since the beginning of their career.
The play features vintage Laid Back. The album is characterized by a chilling and rocking sound. The basic mood of the 11 songs on Healing Feeling is dreamy, laid back and generally packed with summery good vibes. It’s stylish and catchy electronic pop with frequent touches of reggae and club music. Such as only Laid Back can cut it! At the award of music critic’s award, Steppeulven, Laid Back was honored earlier this year with the pioneering award for their long work. And if anyone deserved the pioneering predicate on the Danish music scene, it is the couple John Guldberg and Tim Stahl! Their electronic pop has been groundbreaking – both nationally and internationally. Over the years, Laid Back has been a source of inspiration for some of the biggest names in the international music scene – the duo’s songs are sampled by heavyweights like Justin Timberlake, The Black Eyed Peas and Snoop Dogg. In the wake of the release of Healing Feeling, Laid Back marks the anniversary of a series of concerts around the country throughout the year.
