The P-40 was conceived as an upgrade of the Curtiss Hawk 75 just before the WWII. France was its first customer but never received its order cause to the 1940 defeat. The P-40 was one of the rare aircraft conceived before the war and produced all the war long. This book is a good monography with b/w photos, 1:72 detailed multi-view scale drawings.
