Brandee Younger – Somewhere Different (2021)

In the ’60s and ’70s, jazz harpists Alice Coltrane and Dorothy Ashby combined the instrument’s shimmering sound with the groove of jazz. Brandee Younger now follows in these great footsteps with her breathtakingly beautiful, sometimes soaring, sometimes gripping jazz and soul sounds.

She has worked with musicians such as Pharaoh Sanders, Lauryn Hill and The Roots and recorded her major label debut at the legendary Van Gelder Studios in New Jersey.
